Site Manager – South Dublin
- €75,000-€85,000 DOE + Bonus + Vehicle/Car Allowance + Package
- Irish Main Contractor – 800-Unit Apartment Development
- I’m currently working with an established Irish main contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a major 800-unit apartment development in South Dublin. This is a large-scale residential project offering an excellent opportunity to join an established construction team and play a key role in the delivery of a significant apartment scheme.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
The Role
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of the site.
- Manage construction activities from groundworks through to completion and handover.
- Oversee groundworks, foundations, structural works and RC Frame construction.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site teams to ensure works progress in line with programme.
- Monitor progress and ensure key project milestones are achieved.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and wider project team.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical information and resolve issues as they arise.
- Carry out regular site inspections and ensure high standards of quality are maintained.
- Ensure health and safety requirements are implemented and maintained across the site.
- Manage site resources, productivity and sequencing of works.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
- Lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in Site Management.
- Must have experience managing projects from groundworks onwards.
- Strong RC Frame experience is essential.
- Previous experience on large-scale residential or apartment developments is highly desirable.
- Experience working with an Irish main contractor.
- Strong understanding of the full construction lifecycle.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, trades and site teams.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and programme management.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of QA/QC and construction standards.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Relevant construction or engineering qualification is desirable.
