Our client is a well-established developer delivering large-scale residential and mixed-use developments across Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager (Civil Works) to take responsibility for the planning, coordination, and delivery of all civil and infrastructure works on a major residential development.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all civil and infrastructure works including earthworks, drainage, utilities, roads, footpaths, cycleways, landscaping, and public realm works
- Take ownership of programme delivery, quality, health & safety, environmental compliance, and commercial performance within your area of responsibility
- Plan, coordinate, and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour resources
- Monitor project progress and identify programme risks or delays, implementing corrective actions where required
- Coordinate utility installations and service connections with statutory providers and local authorities
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, technical drawings, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality reviews to maintain construction standards
- Lead, mentor, and support site engineers and package managers
- Manage stakeholder relationships including consultants, utility providers, subcontractors, and local authority representatives
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reporting, and construction documentation
- Support the Senior Project Manager with project planning, issue resolution, and overall site delivery
- Promote a strong health and safety culture across all site activities
Key Skills Required
- Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- 10+ years’ construction industry experience with at least 6 years managing large-scale civil works packages
- Strong knowledge of Irish construction practices, utility provider requirements, and local authority regulations
- Proven experience delivering roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, and infrastructure packages on large-scale developments
- Excellent ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised with excellent planning and time management abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Experience with AutoCAD and Asta Powerproject would be advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver projects safely, on programme, and to a high standard
