Role Overview
Our client are looking for a Site Engineer who will support the delivery of projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all site activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and adhere to all site health and safety requirements.
- Identify and communicate risks related to underground services, ground conditions, and site operations.
- Report any unsafe situations and carry out work safely using appropriate protective equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of underground services and ensure they are clearly marked.
- Ensure temporary works designs and calculations are independently checked.
- Support health, safety, and environmental duties when senior site staff are absent.
- Understand project-specific HSQE procedures, statutory HSE requirements, contract obligations, and programme impacts.
- Review specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
- Conduct setting out, levelling, and surveying in line with project requirements.
- Prepare as-built drawings, reports, site diaries, and labour/plant/material returns.
- Manage procurement needs and liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and the wider project team.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations and monitor workforce and subcontractor performance.
- Plan and organise site resources to meet programme deadlines.
- Resolve technical issues and ensure quality control throughout the project.
- Check materials and ongoing works for compliance.
About You
- Degree or master’s in engineering
- 4–5 years’ experience as a Setting Out Engineer.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution.
- Full clean Irish/UK/EU driver’s licence.
- Eligible to work in Ireland
