Background
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join their team on the Transport & Roadworks programme, delivering a range of civil infrastructure projects across Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of framework works.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, leading project teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is ideally suited to a Site Agent with significant experience delivering civil engineering and Design & Build projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of civil engineering projects from commencement through to completion.
- Lead and coordinate site teams, including Site Engineers, Foremen, Supervisors, operatives, and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor resources.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, and key stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and manage project drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
- Monitor programme performance, identify risks and opportunities, and report progress to senior management.
- Oversee commercial performance in collaboration with the Quantity Surveying team, including measurement, valuations, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) standards and company procedures.
- Coordinate temporary and permanent works, ensuring all required approvals and certifications are obtained.
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Ensure all statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements are met throughout project delivery.
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Membership of a relevant professional engineering institution.
- Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards chartership.
- 10+ years’ experience delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience working on framework contracts, ideally within transport or public infrastructure environments.
- Experience delivering Design & Build projects is highly desirable.
- Full clean Irish/EU driving licence.
- Authorised to work in Ireland.
