About the Role
The Senior Safety Advisor will lead and support the implementation of the company’s HSEQ systems across commercial and residential civil engineering projects. The role requires a strong site presence and the ability to influence project teams and subcontractors to ensure all works are delivered safely, legally and efficiently.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Health & Safety management across commercial and residential projects
• Promote a strong safety culture and provide expert advice to project and site teams
• Ensure compliance with all relevant H&S legislation, client requirements and company procedures
• Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety walks
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and workforce engagement initiatives
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and compliance
• Liaise with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities as required
• Prepare H&S reports, statistics and KPIs for management review

 
Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline
• Recognised professional qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma / Grad IOSH or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience in construction or civil engineering safety
• Strong knowledge of construction health & safety legislation
• Proven experience on commercial and/or residential projects.
