Health and Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce compliance with all current health & safety legislation and site-specific procedures
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
• Identify hazards and ensure appropriate risk assessments and control measures are in place
• Maintain and update health & safety documentation, reports, and registers
• Liaise with site management and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety
• Support accident and incident investigations and implement corrective actions
• Assist in H&S training and inductions for all site staff and visitors

Requirements:

• 2–4 years’ experience in a similar H&S role, ideally within residential or commercial construction
• Relevant H&S qualification (e.g., Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, IOSH/NEBOSH)
• Knowledge of Irish H&S regulations and construction industry standards
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Full driver’s license and access to transport
