Background
Our client is seeking a site engineer to join their team for a solar project project which started late last year. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be looking after the foundations, drainage networks, electrical cable trenches/ducting, concrete works, roadworks, and the HISC building forming the core enabling works for the new power station.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with site Safety Statement and HSE legislation, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Identify, report, and manage site hazards, including underground services, ground conditions, and toxic substances.
- Supervise and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to meet programme, quality, and budget targets.
- Plan, organise, and manage daily site operations, including labour, plant, and materials.
- Oversee design coordination, temporary works, and construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation.
- Maintain records: site diaries, as-built drawings, technical reports, and material certifications.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, statutory authorities, and project stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with method statements, inspection plans, and project specifications.
- Take temporary Health, Safety, and Environmental responsibility in the absence of the Project Manager/Site Agent.
Key Skills Required
- Master’s or degree in engineering (or equivalent experience), ideally with modules in water/wastewater.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution.
- Relevant work or volunteer experience on similar projects, with a commitment to safe and environmentally responsible practices.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Authorised to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or Critical Skills Visa).
- Full Irish driver’s licences
