Our client are looking for an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to manage and supervise road construction projects. The role involves overseeing site activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage day-to-day site activities for road and highway construction projects
- Ensure construction works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Set out works and verify alignment, levels, and measurements
- Monitor project progress and report regularly to the Project Manager
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants on site
- Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and conduct inspections
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
- Review and verify quantities for billing and measurements
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
- Identify and resolve technical issues and site challenges
- Assist in planning work schedules and resource allocation
- Maintain proper site documentation and records
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in road/highway construction projects
- Strong knowledge of road works such as earthworks, sub-base, base course, asphalt, drainage, and pavements
- Familiarity with construction standards, specifications, and QA/QC procedures
