We are working with a well-established construction company on a €25 million residential development project in Cherrywood, Dublin. Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will manage the engineering and technical aspects of the project, overseeing a team of 2-3 site engineers/set-out engineers. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the engineering aspects of the €25 million residential development, ensuring all works are completed to specification and meet project goals.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to 2-3 site engineers/set-out engineers.
- Lead the setting-out process, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to project drawings.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including BCAR (Building Control (Amendment) Regulations).
- Liaise with the project manager, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of all site activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues as they arise on-site.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management.
- Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to timelines and project schedules.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Engineer in residential development.
- Experience in duplex construction and residential developments is essential.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with BCAR (Building Control (Amendment) Regulations).
- Proven experience managing and supervising a team of engineers.
- Proficiency in setting-out using total stations and other surveying equipment.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction processes and project management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer) preferred.
