Background
Our client is one of the leading civil contractors in Ireland and they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a major water infrastructure project. The role is responsible for cost control, subcontractor management, and accurate financial reporting from pre-contract through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control project costs across the full project lifecycle
- Administer subcontractor and supplier accounts
- Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts
- Support monthly cost reporting and cost/value reconciliation
- Measure and value works in accordance with standard methods
- Assist with variations, claims, and change management
- Maintain accurate site cost records for labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors
- Liaise with project teams, clients, and utility stakeholders
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or similar
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience in water, utilities, or civil infrastructure projects
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure schemes
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Eligible to work in Ireland
- Full clean EU/Irish driving licence
