About the Role As a Member Services Officer, you will be the first point of contact for members, ensuring an excellent customer experience while handling a variety of financial transactions. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional looking to build a career in financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to members in-person, over the phone, and via email.
- Process member transactions, including lodgements, withdrawals, loan applications, and direct debits.
- Assist members with queries related to their accounts, loans, and online banking services.
- Promote Credit Union products and services, ensuring members are aware of available financial solutions.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Support the administration of loans, including documentation and follow-ups.
- Assist in marketing and promotional initiatives to enhance member engagement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Previous experience in a customer service, banking, or financial services role is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and banking systems.
- A commitment to providing exceptional service to members.
- APA (Accredited Product Adviser) or QFA (Qualified Financial Adviser) qualification is an advantage.
- Experience working in a Credit Union or financial institution is beneficial.
