A key client of Strive Search are seeking an experienced Commercial Managers to strengthen their team and contribute to both ongoing and upcoming projects. This role is central to ensuring the commercial and contractual success of projects, from initial agreement through to completion. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for guiding business operations, managing relationships with clients and partners, and identifying opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret contract documents thoroughly, ensuring obligations are clear and adhered to.
- Identify and escalate any discrepancies or risks within contractual terms.
- Prepare financial forecasts, cost reports, and valuation reconciliations for project reviews.
- Conduct site-based assessments and negotiate valuations with client representatives.
- Manage interim and final account processes for both clients and subcontractors.
- Oversee the timely placement of subcontract and supplier orders.
- Record and address any contractual delays, safeguarding the company’s position through appropriate correspondence and compliance.
- Support the preparation and submission of contractual claims where required.
- Establish and monitor cost allocation systems for each project.
- Participate in progress meetings and provide commercial updates.
- Ensure compliance with payment schedules both to and from the company.
- Report potential commercial or operational risks to senior management promptly.
- Evaluate subcontractor performance throughout the project lifecycle, escalating issues when necessary.
- Protect company assets, confidential information, and documentation.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff, fostering continuous improvement.
Key Skills Required
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Chartered membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the construction industry.
- Strong background in managing public sector contracts.
- Full, clean Irish/EU driving licence.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
