As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will lead multiple crews, manage site logistics, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure full compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage and coordinate up to 4 construction crews simultaneously.
- Oversee the installation of ducting in both roads and agricultural land
- Manage street works, temporary works, and traffic management in line with best practice.
- Interpret and deliver work in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Liaise effectively with the Client, site teams, and third-party stakeholders.
- Conduct daily briefings such as toolbox talks and whiteboard meetings, and provide clear project updates.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental standards on site.
- Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments.
- Maintain detailed site records, logs, and progress updates. Use site management software and reporting tools effectively.
- Report to the Project Manager and contribute to project planning and delivery.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role within civil or renewable energy projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of street works regulations and traffic management plans.
- Practical experience in ducting installation – an advantage but not essential
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Computer literate (MS Office, project management tools, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of construction documentation and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Committed to best practices in Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
- Full, clean driving licence is required.
