Our client are a leading global engineering and construction company, established in 1951. They deliver world-class infrastructure and they are in need of an experience M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide commercial support to the Managing Quantity Surveyor on all project-related matters.
- Assist in maintaining adherence to company procedures and commercial governance.
- Support, develop, and manage junior commercial staff.
- Delegate appropriate tasks while retaining oversight and responsibility.
- Prepare and maintain accurate internal commercial reports and forecasts.
- Produce valuations/applications for payment in line with contract requirements.
- Prepare client-facing cost reports with comprehensive supporting documentation.
- Manage procurement schedules for subcontractors and materials.
- Administer subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account agreements.
- Maintain detailed records of contract changes and manage associated documentation and registers.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, including value engineering and cost control measures.
- Implement and maintain a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to meet project and contractual requirements.
- Assist in preparing Cost to Complete forecasts and maintaining the project Risk Register.
- Accurately measure quantities in accordance with standard methods of measurement.
- Help optimise project cash flow, manage WIP, and support margin improvement initiatives.
- Participate in business improvement and continuous development initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
- Working towards Chartered Surveyor status (MRICS or equivalent).
- Valid full driving licence.
