About the Role
We’re hiring a Lending Analyst to join the credit and underwriting team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in lending, underwriting, or credit support who’s looking to grow their skills in a supportive, member-driven environment. You’ll assess loan applications, ensure compliance with lending policies, and help support members through key life stages.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and assess personal loan applications for affordability and risk
• Analyse supporting documentation including payslips, bank statements, and credit reports
• Communicate with members regarding loan outcomes and next steps
• Work closely with the credit committee and collections team as needed
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Assist in continuous improvement of credit procedures and risk controls
Requirements
• 1–2 years’ experience in lending, underwriting, or credit analysis
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to assess financial documents
• APA Loans (minimum) or working towards QFA
• Experience in a credit union or member-focused financial institution is an advantage
