About the Role
They are now seeking a Credit Controller to join their team on a hybrid basis. This is a key role focused on managing member accounts, ensuring timely payments, and supporting those in financial difficulty with empathy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of member accounts, ensuring timely repayments and monitoring arrears.
- Engage with members via phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve overdue accounts.
- Arrange and monitor payment plans, in line with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare regular credit control reports.
- Liaise with internal teams and external agencies where required.
Requirements
- Experience in a credit control, collections, or similar financial services role.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a member-first approach.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with credit union operations or ethos is an advantage.
